Daily Motivation: Recognizing the 3 MLM Mindsets


Objections stem from many places in MLM but there are three different mindsets about the industry as a whole you’ll come across. When you begin to recognize these mindsets, you can more easily handle objections. Here’s what to look for:
  • Misinformation Mindset – Often, people object to what they don’t understand or they make assumptions based on what they’ve heard. The quickest way to overcome this is to understand why they believe this objection and where it comes from.
  • Tried and Failed Mindset – Other people will know someone who tried and failed at MLM. Their opinion? It didn’t work for them, so why should it work for me? This is a sign of not having firsthand knowledge. As you read yesterday, the people who are successful in this business understand the industry and the necessary elements to become successful. And they know positivity matters in all of it. That’s what’s lacking in this mindset. The best way to overcome this mindset is to help the prospect realize the facts and basis for their beliefs.
  • The Positive Mindset – MLM is not for everyone; it’s for the people who understand the industry, who know what they need/want/don’t want. It’s for people who want to have fun and be in control of their own success. It’s not impossible for those of the other mindset to get to this point, but it requires dedication, self-motivation and great training. With those elements and a positive mindset about all of it, success is just around the corner.
